About LivingRoom
LivingRoom
is a Rotterdam-based platform with a mission to support young artists,
explore possible ways of connecting artistic & creative practices,
different disciplines and representations of contemporary art in an intimate
non-gallery environment
LivingRoom was Founded in September 2019 by three housemates/artists/friends who are from Croatia, China and Iran. Since then another member from Latvia has joined the group.
The idea came from a need to exhibit, share and see new works of art in our circle and beyond.
The accessibility of our living space, especially our living room, which we barely used, was the point of taking action to transform the living space into an art space, offering walls, floor, ceiling and balcony as integral fixed elements for connecting, sharing and exhibiting artwork.
In Rotterdam we recognize the potential for exploring possible ways to connect artistic & creative practices, different disciplines and representations of visual and non-visual arts.
